A European Network for Intercultural Learning

The enlarged Europe, enshrining the principle of diversity in its Charter on fundamental rights, is faced with manifold intercultural challenges.

NILE brings together adult education organisations and networks from 20 countries in order to promote intercultural learning in adult eduation across Europe.

The European Union funding has ended as planned in September 2008. A final report of the closing conference (September 2008) is available here

EAEA is commited to continue the important work staerted within the NILE network. A statement has been adopted, and in 2009 a EAEA work group is active in developing new activities and recommendations.
